IIP-SARS LAMBASTS POLICE FOR FAILURE TO PRODUCE 2 DEFUNCT AWKUZU SARS OFFICERS, DESPITE TWO ORDERS COMPELLING THEIR PRODUCTION

IIP-SARS on Wednesday expressed disappointment with the attitude of the Police in complying with its order to produce two police officers, Mr Obiazo and Mr Uzo Emeana both of SARS Awkuzu, Anambra state over their alleged involvement in the arbitrary arrest and detention of one Mr John Emeka Alozie who has been reportedly missing for the last four years.

The Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu Esq has called on the Nigerian Police and other law enforcement agencies to do everything within their powers to locate Tordue Salem, a journalist who reportedly went missing on the 13th of October, 2021 in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

A complaint before the Independent Investigation Panel on Human Rights Violations by defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad and other units of the Nigerian Police Force, Chinenye Igwetu whose younger sister, Linda Igwetu was allegedly shot dead by Inspector Benjamin Peters, told the panel that she never testified before any FCT high court in respect of her late sister.

IIP SARS REJECTS DNA TEST CONDUCTED BY NIGERIAN POLICE …. Insists on independent test by NHRC

The Independent Investigative Panel on allegations of human rights violations by the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other units of the Nigerian Police at a resumed sitting on Monday rejected the DNA result presented before it by the Nigerian Police concerning the maternity of a minor, Elijah Tanko, who was allegedly abducted by child traffickers, insisting on an independent test by the National Human Rights Commission.
