The Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Chief Tony Ojukwu, OFR, SAN, has urged law students across Nigeria to become courageous defenders of human rights and the rule of law which are the pillars of an egalitarian and progress society.

The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, has entered into a strategic collaboration with the Knights of St. Mulumba, KSM, and the Papal Knights and Medalists of Nigeria to address the systemic challenge of prison congestion and uphold the human rights of persons deprived of liberty in Nigeria.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in its capacity as Nigeria's National Preventive Mechanism under the Optional Protocol to the United Nations Convention against Torture (OPCAT), has announced the election of its Executive Secretary, Chief Anthony Ojukwu, OFR, SAN, as Vice-President of the African National Preventive Mechanisms Network, ANPMN.
