The Independent Investigation Panel on Human Rights Violations by the defuct Special Anti-Robbery Squad and other units of the Nigerian Police Force on Thursday awarded monetary compensations to 27 victims of human rights Violations.

The "Final Report on Integrated Approach to Building Peace in Nigeria's Farmer/Herder Crisis Project in the Middle Belt Nigeria will pave the way for enhanced capacity building of affected communities and serve as early warning for stakeholders to nip crisis in the bud, the Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Tony Ojukwu, SAN, has said.

Counsel to Union Bank Nigeria PLC, Bernard Adiukwu Esq has informed the Independent Investigative panel on human rights violations by defunct SARS and other units of the Nigerian Police Force that it has nothing to do with an abandoned vehicle in its premises belonging to one Hon. Ngozika Ihuoma.
